Having graduated from Leeds University with a degree in Microbiology in 1986 I started my career in the food industry within the food safety department at Rank Hovis McDougal Research and Engineering. Following a period in technical sales for the global food industry laboratory supplier, BioMerieux UK, I began a consulting role in 1998 for a Kent based food safety consulting group and then started the food safety consulting and training company, MQM Consulting in 2001, with a team of 4 administrative and qualified BRC auditor personnel supporting me as Managing Director, Lead Consultant and registered BRC consultant. We operate within the UK and Europe supporting those food manufacturing companies, across a wide range of sectors that seek BRC certification as part of the global supply chain food safety management process. MQM also maintains certification to the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Standard and this together with the BRC Consultant scheme helps us to ensure a fair, qualified and quality orientated approach to both new and existing customers.
