BRC Global Standard – Consumer Products Retailer Statement

The BRC is pleased to confirm that the following Retailers and Wholesalers recognise independent certification to the Global Standard - Consumer Products 2a and accept its use by their suppliers. In order to gain certification companies must undergo independent audits by qualified Certification Bodies approved by the BRC to provide assurance that suppliers have understood the technical and safety matters affecting their products, are operating an effective quality management system and are applying appropriate levels of Good Manufacturing Practice. Evidence of certification to the Standard forms a vital part of a retailer’s or wholesaler’s Quality Assurance system and also allows suppliers to gain entry on to the BRC Directory and market their capability to potential customers.
