BRC Best Practice Guideline: Internal Audit - Issue 2
The BRC has produced a series of best practice guidelines aimed at manufacturing and storage businesses to provide practical advice on developing systems to fulfil obligations with regard to legal compliance, safety and quality criteria.
A comprehensive internal audit system is fundamental to a company’s safety and quality system as it provides confirmation that systems and procedures are operating effectively and identifies areas that require improvement.

- Defining the requirements for staff undertaking internal audits
- Defining aspects necessary to conduct an audit

- Guidance on corrective action to be undertaken
