UK Food Standards Agency Reorganisation - BRC Reaction

Reacting to the Government’s announcement today (Tuesday) that some responsibilities in England will be transferred to the Department of Health (DH) and the Department of Food, Environment and Rural Affairs (Defra), the British Retail Consortium said structures are less important than results.

Lyons Seafoods awarded Grade A* British Retail Consortium certification

Lyons Seafoods, Europe’s leading processor of King prawns, has been awarded the British Retail Consortium (BRC) Grade A* Global Standard for Food Safety certification - placing it in top 0.2% of sites world-wide for its good manufacturing practices. It is now one of only 32 sites in the world to hold this standard at Grade A*.
