About The Packaging Society

The Packaging Society (formerly The Institute of Packaging - IOP) is a division of the Institute of Minerals and Mining, an association for individual professionals working throughout the whole materials cycle. 

Tracing its origins back to the Institute of Packaging, formed in 1947, the Society focuses its attention on packaging training, helping its members to develop their packaging expertise and promoting an awareness of the usefulness of packaging amongst the public at large.
